EXPERIMENTAL STUDY : WINDOW NOTES STRATEGY IN TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION
Reading helps students to enhance their knowledge. Unfortunately, there are still any students who do not understand what they read, they are confused to find out detail information or find something from reading. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of window notes strategy in teaching students’ reading comprehension. The ability of students reading comprehension depend on the student’ understanding about what they read. Therefore, the teacher should make some interesting strategy in teaching reading. In this research the writer applied window notes strategy in teaching reading comprehension. The writer applied True Experimental Design by using pre-test, and post-test for both Experimental and Control class. The writer took the sample randomly from those 329 Students or seven classes as population by choosing XI IPA 3 as Experimental Class and XI AGAMA as Control Class. Both consist 34 students. Then, the result of this research was is 10,497 > with two tailed at level α 0,05 = . The value of is 10,497 while the value of with 5% significance level (0,05) is . It means that or in the word null Hypothesis ( is rejected and alternative Hypothesis ( is accepted. It means window notes strategy is effective in teching students’ reading comprehension.
