Students are expected to have the ability to capture the meaning of a message or information conveyed, and have the ability to think ,restate and receive information. Students are also expected to have the ability to express various thoughts, feelings, opinions and ideas using language that good and right. These competencies can be achieved through the process of skills that are trained and experienced in learning activities. The researcher tries to apply participatory kinesthetic intelligence-based methods that fit the characteristics of grade VII students of Junior High School Sindang 3. Through this method, it is hoped that students can be fully involved and actively participate in learning. Participatory learning methods generally require students to be actively involved in learning activities by thinking and acting actively, freely, openly and responsibly in terms of learning things that are meaningful to meet learning needs and shared interests (Sudjana, 2010: 51 ). Therefore, students are expected to be actively involved in practicing and practicing more narrative text in speaking skills by initially using literary reading techniques, namely reading legendary figures of Arya Wiralodra provided by researchers. Then students and researchers carry out learning activities by applying stages in participatory methods. After that the students retell by involving the limbs as a tool to express in accordance with what is read from the legend of the character. The results of this study are expected to provide several benefits both theoretically and practically, namely: (1) providing a reference to the development of kinesthetic intelligence, specifically students' speaking abilities; (2) knowing the right method in improving students' speaking abilities and obtaining interesting learning experiences; (3) add insight and experience of researchers to develop science, especially in the field of education; and (4) for institutions, can be used as input to build and improve the quality of education. Based on the objectives to be achieved, the expected output targets that can be obtained as a result of this research can be described as follows. (1) Can strengthen lecturer research in the field of Indonesian language education especially regarding kinesthetic-based Indonesian language learning through participatory methods. (2) The teaching materials used in this study are expected to be an inspiration for teachers in making kinesthetic-based teaching materials through participatory methods.
